A bit of recognition

By Mary Shustack

Rockland County artist Eric David Laxman has good news. The sculptor who WAG featured during our coverage of the ArtFull Living Designer Show House, which ran for three months in Cold Spring last year, is being honored this weekend. Laxman, fellow artist Ted Ludwiczak and First Niagara Bank are all being recognized during the Rockland Center for the Arts’ annual gala benefit.

The event is set for 5 p.m. this Saturday, Feb. 9 at the Paramount Country Club in New City.

For more information, including ticket details, visit RocklandArtCenter.org or call (845) 358-0877, Ext. 18.

And if you can’t make the gala, stop by the 26th Annual Suburban Home Show at Rockland Community College this weekend, where Laxman will be collaborating with Don Ruggieri of Omni Landscaping on a display that integrates Ruggieri’s work with Laxman’s outdoor sculptures, furniture and custom metal railings.
