WAG readers are likely familiar with Laura Straus, the Rockland-based photographer who is also the owner of Piermont Straus. We’ve profiled her and also featured some of her gallery exhibitions over the last year or two.
Well, in her role with the Piermont Chamber of Commerce, the Westchester-raised Straus got in touch to let us know about a great event that’s planned for later this month in her adopted hometown.
The Piermont Art Walk will be held from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. June 22 (rain date the following day).
Spend some time meandering from shop to business to restaurant to see a selection of artists displaying their work. A number of artists will also be “in residence,” set up outside throughout Piermont not only exhibiting but also creating new work.
What a great way to spend the first weekend of summer.
And when in town, be sure to stop by Piermont Straus, the gallery and bookshop that recently settled into a new home at 10 Roundhouse Road.
