She’s one of the last great stars from the Golden Age of Hollywood, and Ridgefield Playhouse has got her.
Sophia Loren will make a rare appearance at the playhouse Nov. 16 as she joins film critic Steve Persall for a conversation about her life and a career that has included two Oscars, five Golden Globes, a Grammy and a record six Donatellos (the Italian Oscar). It will be a celebration of all things Italian, with a 6 p.m. pre-show reception for orchestra ticket holders featuring cuisine by TerraSole Ristorante and wine tasting by Pera Wines.
Everyone will be able to enjoy samplings of Italian cocktails by Campari, including Negroni, Sbagliato, Americano and more before the 8 p.m. curtain.
Tickets are $250 for orchestra seats and $195 for mezzanine and balcony seating. A meet and greet with Loren is available for an additional $500.
