A seasonal soirée

“The Summer Party” is set for June 14 and will fill the grounds of The Glass House, the historic New Canaan site and longtime home of architect Philip Johnson (1906-2005).

From noon to 4 p.m., guests are invited to join in a festive picnic lunch by Elm with Champagne by Taittinger, lawn games, music and a silent auction. Participants will also have the chance to experience the exhibit “Fujiko Nakaya: Veil” as well as the entire 49-acre campus. The event is being presented with support from Swarovski. Attire is “summer chic.” Tickets start at $500.

Funds raised will benefit The Philip Johnson Glass House, a National Trust Historic Site that was completed in 1949.
