A sparkling ode to dance

Lalique has announced the details of its latest fine-jewelry collection.

And this month, with WAG celebrating all things related to sports, recreation and relaxation, it was fitting to hear it was inspired by the world of dance.

To be specific, the Vertiges collection was created in homage to Serge Diaghilev’s Paris-based Ballets Russes, which astonished the world from 1909 to ’29 with such talents as Vaslav Nijinsky, Pablo Picasso, George Balanchine and Igor Stravinsky.

If you think that sounds like romantic and fanciful inspiration, then you’re right. Even the quickest of glances at the new offerings is dazzling.

Available in Lalique boutiques in September.
