Another opening, another group of shows

Our latest issue is filled with stories related to sports, recreation and relaxation.

Among the features this month is one devoted to Ellen Crane of Dobbs Ferry. The former professional dancer now specializes in photography that celebrates movement, with dance a favorite subject. She’s exhibited at Gallery 66 NY in Cold Spring – most recently in June – and is there again this month with a solo show in the space’s Gallery C.

It’s one of several shows at the gallery this month, with all of them set to formally open with a 6 to 9 p.m. reception Aug. 5.

The shows also include:

  • A celebration of Gallery 66 NY’s new sister-gallery relationship with Kunstleben Berlin Gallery in Germany with a showcase of work from seven of its artists in the front gallery.
  • A showcase of photographer Ashley Garrett’s images from Hudson Valley Shakespeare Festival’s upcoming production of “Our Town,” in Gallery B.
  • A solo exhibit of Jo-Ann Brody’s “Works in Cement and Clay” from her series “Woman Form- introspective” in the Garden.

All the exhibits will continue through Aug. 28. The gallery, at 66 Main St., is open from noon to 6 p.m. Fridays through Sundays.
