Attention all pet lovers…

WAG has often featured the work of Guiding Eyes for the Blind, a nonprofit that loves its animals as much as we here at WAG do.

For those not familiar, Guiding Eyes is an internationally accredited nonprofit that provides guide dogs to people with vision loss. It offers all its programs and services at no cost to its students and graduates. The organization has both its headquarters and Training Center in Yorktown Heights with its Canine Development Center in Patterson.

Well, we’ve just heard from Guiding Eyes about an exciting holiday promotion, its teaming up with Windsor Vineyards, a California wine producer that specializes in custom labels.

As part of the #petyourwine holiday campaign, for a limited time customers can upload photographs of their pets and create a holiday-themed wine labels featuring their favorite pet on a bottle of wine from Windsor.

For every bottle sold, a portion of the proceeds will go directly to Guiding Eyes, with the vineyard pledging to make a minimum contribution of $5,000.

The special promotion will run until Dec. 15, to ensure all customers receive their personalized creations before Christmas.

In announcing the teaming up, Julie Hadlock, corporate and foundation relations officer for Guiding Eyes for the Blind, said: “We are very happy to partner with Windsor Vineyards this holiday season on the #petyourwine promotion. We are passionate about connecting exceptional dogs with individuals for greater independence and the funds raised by this campaign will continue to support that goal.”
