Booking new ventures

Those lovely ladies, Claire Gilvar and Meryl Lefkowitz, at Booked Parties have been quite busy since we wrote about them in the July issue of WAG. http://www.wagmag.com/party-without-the-stress/ Not ones to hibernate during the cold winter months, Booked Parties partnered with The Westchester for the launch of its children’s play space called – what else – PLAY Westchester and the adjoining tech lounge, CONNECT. Meryl tells us that it was such a success that she and Claire are going to partner on additional events with PLAY Westchester.

But even bigger than that, the two entrepreneurs have launched Booked Marketplace, “a multi-merchant marketplace which allows customers to shop from multiple storefronts within the website and provides a centralized checkout for a single and smooth transaction. ”

The two report that it has been “a labor of love” creating the new site.

“Partnering with all local stores and merchants within the areas we are in, Booked Marketplace offers everything from gifts, party décor, favors, sweets and more all in one place, making Booked Parties a true one-stop shop for all of your birthday needs.”

And that’s not all.

Claire and Meryl will be hosting a pop-up shop at LIFE The Place To Be, 2 Lawrence St. in Ardsley-on-Hudson, on April 20 from 7 to 10 p.m.

This will be a selling event for new and incoming merchants on the Booked Parties website, Meryl said. A percentage of the tickets will also benefit The Maria Fareri Children’s Hospital. Tickets are $20 and are for sale at eventbrite.com/o/booked-parties-13201894868.
