Checking in at the Delamar West Hartford

The Greenwich Hospitality Group adds another hotel to its portfolio.

WAG has enjoyed covering the sophisticated Delamar Greenwich Harbor and the bucolic Delamar Southport, both part of the Greenwich Hospitality Group. So we were delighted to hear that another Delamar is open for business – the Delamar West Hartford.

This “ground-up” development project, designed to LEED Gold Standards, joins the serene Four Columns Inn in Newfane, Vermont, along with other properties in Connecticut and Texas.

Like its sister Delamars, West Hartford is all about customer service, fine dining under the direction of chef Frederic Kieffer, a full-service spa – the Delamar group’s largest – and artistic décor throughout the hotel’s guest rooms and public spaces. In West Hartford, this is the result of a partnership with the New Britain Museum of American Art.

The 114 guest rooms overlook the bustling dining and shopping scene in West Hartford’s historic Blue Back Square.

“With this project, we aimed to create a boutique hotel that would be deemed exceptional in any major metro area,” Charles Mallory, founding CEO of the Greenwich Hospitality Group, said in a statement. “Delamar West Hartford will soon be a regional draw and the top hotel destination in central Connecticut.”

The hotel will start hosting events in December.
