Crafts at Purchase makes a welcome return

Start your holiday shopping at Crafts at Purchase, which makes a welcome return Oct. 28-29.

Those in the mood to get a jump on holiday shopping may want to note that Crafts at Purchase is back.

The show returns Oct. 28 and 29 to The Performing Arts Center at Purchase College.

This new incarnation of the event will feature some 100 juried craftsmen from across the country. They will be showcasing their one-of-a-kind and limited-edition clothing, jewelry, home décor pieces, photography and fine art, along with functional and sculptural works in ceramics, glass, metal, wood and mixed media.

A new component to the event will be a selection of gourmet foods and craft demonstrations. There will also be a silent auction featuring items donated by the show’s participants.

Crafts at Purchase benefits The Performing Arts Center. It is presented by Artrider Productions, the force behind Crafts at Lyndhurst and CraftWestport (Nov. 4 and 5) and in collaboration with The Prompters, the center’s volunteer corps.

Net profits from admissions and the silent auction are earmarked for the center’s Arts in Education Program.
