Hello, orangecello!

Bello orangecello!

Ingredients:

→   9 large organic oranges

→   1 bottle of Tito’s Vodka (750 ml)

→   3½  cups Poland Spring water

→   2½ cups sugar

Directions:

Using a vegetable peeler, remove the peel from the oranges in strips.  Make sure you do not get any white pith on the peels.

Put peels in a 2-3 quart pitcher.

Pour vodka over peels and cover with plastic wrap.

Store in a dry place at room temperature for 7 days.

After 7 days, place the water and sugar in a large saucepan over medium heat and stir until sugar dissolves – about 5 minutes or so.

Pour the syrup over the vodka mixture.

Cover and store another 24 hours at room temperature.

Strain the orangecello through a mesh strainer and discard the peels.

Transfer orangecello to bottles.

Seal and refrigerate. It will last up to a month.

Serve over crushed ice. You can add a dash of cream as well.
