Home, tiny home

Our March issue is going to be devoted to “Gimme Shelter” with stories exploring the topic of home.

The newest exhibition at The Museum of the City of New York looks at that very subject, with “Making Room: New Models for Housing New Yorkers” having just opened Jan. 23.

We’re going to tour the exhibition – and feature it in the next WAG – but if you’re in the area, plan to stop by MCNY as the exhibition not only showcases innovative ways to make the most of your space but even includes a furnished micro-studio apartment of 325 square feet.
Just imagining such a compact space is a challenge for the pack rats among us…

The “Making Room” exhibition continues through Sept. 15. The Museum of the City of New York is open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily at 1220 Fifth Ave. (at 103rd Street). For more details, call (212) 534-1672 or visit mcny.org.
