Horse sense

We introduced you to Patricia’s Presents in our April (“Animal Passion”) issue.

Owner Patricia Polk’s Ridgefield boutique fit right in, a treasure trove of animal-themed gifts and accessories – plus so much more.

Polk promised to keep in touch, and she has, alerting us to an upcoming special event.

She will be hosting an exhibit of work by noted wild-horse photographer E.G. Simson of Redding (formerly of Weston). The London-born artist is noted for creating photographs that convey her passion for horses, and she has traveled extensively to photograph rescued and imperiled wild mustangs.

In March of 2012, Wild Horse Journal recognized Simson as being “among the best in the world when it comes to bringing forth the beauty, grace, depth and courage inherent in wild horses.”

A reception will be held at Patricia’s Presents, 199 Ethan Allen Highway, from 6 to 8 p.m. June 19, with the show continuing from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. June 20 and 21.

A portion of the sale proceeds will go to The International Society for the Protection of Mustangs and Burros.
