Longines hails America’s ‘Pharoah’

Longines – the official watch and timekeeper of the FEI, or Federation Equestre Internationale, the governing body of equestrian sports – sure knows how to pay a compliment. The Swiss watchmaker, which made its presence known throughout the Triple Crown season with elegant print and TV ads as well as timepieces for American Pharoah’s winning handlers, paid tribute to the magnificent colt himself with a full-page ad in The New York Times recently that used the photograph seen here.

In WAG’s April “Animal Passion” issue, Longines announced the formation of the Longines FEI World Cup Jumping North American League, which will include the American Gold Cup, to be held once again this September at Old Salem Farm in North Salem. http://www.wagmag.com/longinesleague/ Meanwhile, the Pharoah sits atop The Longines World’s Best Racehorse Rankings.
