Mind-body connection

This weekend, we’re all about powering up our bodies and our minds.

First, I’ll be taking part in Crunch Fitness’ anniversary party on the plaza outside its Main Street address in White Plains from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, May 17. In addition to talking about WAG and signing copies of my new novel, “Water Music,” I hope to get in a little Zumba. 914-328-3311, http://www.crunch.com/locations/new-york/white-plains/white-plains/

Then on Sunday, May 18 from 12:30 to 5 p.m., I’ll be reading from “Water Music” and signing copies at The Lionheart Gallery in Pound Ridge. We’ll also check out the new exhibit of David Hutchinson’s works, “Purging Genet,” which is all about the sometimes tempestuous relationship between art and literature. The gallery is at 27 Westchester Ave. in Pound Ridge. 914-769-8689, http://thelionheartgallery.com/
