Ringing out the old (And ringing in the new)

For many, 2016 has been the best of times – and the worst of times. (Sorry, Charles Dickens.)

To those who can’t wait to see the back of a bum year, we say, Let the festivities begin.

It’s time to enjoy the progression of fireworks around the globe and to raise a glass with family and friends.

And maybe also thank the Romans, who gave us the calendar with January as the first month of the year. It is named for Janus, god of gateways and beginnings. So, time, too, to turn the page, write down our resolutions and see what sticks. We won’t know until we try, will we?

It is our wish at WAG that 2017 will be a year of health and happiness, peace and prosperity and that we will find the strength to make it so for ourselves and others.
