The buzz about Gucci

It may be fall, but hope “springs” eternal – or maybe it’s the hope for spring that’s eternal – in Italian luxe brand Gucci’s garden-inspired autumn offerings at Neiman Marcus Westchester. From velvet to lace, unusual influences to bumblebee embellishments, Gucci proves nothing short of trendsetting. WAG selected a few pieces that we find particularly charming – and super chic, of course.

(1) Pictorial Flowers Velvet Dress with Bow

This high-cut dress incorporates some of the season’s hottest trends – printed fabric and larger-than-life bows. Lined with crystal trim for added oomph, the high neckline and easy-breezy fit perfectly balance the sexiness of the high leg. Simply pair with a solid black tight when the cooler weather strikes, $4,800.

(2) Chantilly Lace Shirt with Bow & Florage Print Satin Pleated Maxi Skirt

A little classic, a little different and a sure head-turner. The black Chantilly lace shirt neutralizes the striking pattern of the print satin skirt, which features a floral design. The details of this delicate blouse include puff shoulders, black mother-of-pearl buttons and, of course, a black silk bow, $2,700. The bow motif is continued in the high-waisted skirt – which has a slenderizing effect – with black ribbon trim, $1,900.

(3) Viscose-Silk Velvet Shirt & Velvet Pajama Pant

Is there a better ensemble than a silky, viscose velvet outfit, reminiscent of the comfiest robe? The shirt features crystal embroidery on the collar, cuffs and pocket, with mother-of-pearl buttons and contrasting piping detail, $2,700. The pants continue the crystal motif, with detail on the button cuff, $1,980. Pair with a set of heels, as pictured, and you’ll be the most stylish – and comfortable – woman of the hour.

(4) Porcelain Garden Print Silk Gown, Magnolia Blue/White

Delicate and dainty – but bold, very bold. This dress features an exquisite porcelain garden print, which is offset by a ruffled collar, a pearly and chain button front, bell cuffs, a ruffled front bib, a crystal and beaded brooch and, of course, a blue and red sequined web belt and bow, $7,300. Need we say more?

(5) New Jordan Bee-Jacquard Loafer, Multi

For those looking to make a statement in a more subtle way, these bumblebee loafers are the “bee-all”. The shoes, which feature a 0.5-inch flat stacked heel and an apron toe, are adorned with an all-over bee print and a plastic, beaded ant, $760.

(6) Padlock Small Embroidered Shoulder Bag, Red/Multi

There’s hardly a better way to complement the classic LBD (little black dress), than with a red statement purse. Featuring hand-embroidered strawberry appliques – yum – made with glass beads and sequins with nylon, as well as an embroidered bee appliqué, this fine leather bag is secured with a push-lock clasp – and a hanging covered key. $2,690.
