Add a vintage accent to the holiday season

Maybe it’s just me, but when I think of aprons, my associations lean toward the vintage.

It’s just that you don’t see all that many home cooks using that most practical item anymore.

That’s why – with holiday entertaining coming up – it was so fun to be contacted by Hen House Linens.

The company offers products designed to “inspire folks to gather around the table with the people they love for the holidays and every day.”

It’s a nice sentiment, right?

We had fun looking at the table linens and kitchen and entertaining accessories, but I must admit that it was the aprons that really caught my eye.

The Cook’s Aprons are $28 and come in a variety of contemporary and chic patterns. The styles are one-sized, hitting just below the knee with an adjustable neck strap and long waist ties to offer a custom fit. The 100%-cotton products also feature color-fast dyes for easy machine washing and drying – and they don’t need ironing. They are designed to soften with age but hold the shape for many years.

So, why not get one for your own holiday entertaining – or several to share with those on your holiday-shopping list?
