Sadly, lots of people in our area lost boats during Hurricane Sandy and many others find that their beloved vessels are no longer seaworthy. Those with questions or concerns might want to head over to ArtsWestchester’s Arts Exchange building at 2 p.m. Feb. 2 and Feb. 9. In conjunction with its informative exhibit “From Shore to Shore: Boat Builders and Boatyards of Westchester and Long Island” (through March 9), ArtsWestchester is presenting two free gallery talks with craftsmen (Feb. 2) and with maritime historians and waterfront preservation specialists (Feb. 9).
