An entertaining read

Chef Kristin Sollenne, a rising star in the culinary world, is hitting the road in support of her new book, “Domestic Chic, A Fashionably Fabulous Guide to Cooking & Entertaining By the Seasons.”

Released Sept. 4 by Waldorf Publishing, the book is billed as a “go-to guide for cooking and entertaining by the seasons.” In addition to featuring 16 pre-planned menus and more than 100 recipes, the book touches on family stories and traditions along with décor tips.

The book tour will bring Sollenne to WAG country, with the New York City-based chef set to appear Sept. 9 at the Ferguson Library in Stamford.

Sollenne, a Food Network judge and certified nutritionist, will talk about the book, offer a demonstration and conduct a sale and signing.

The event will run from 6:30 to 8 p.m. in the third-floor auditorium of the main library, at One Public Library Plaza.
