An interior design institution

Design enthusiasts will again flock to the Kips Bay Decorator Show House, when the 45th annual edition opens May 2 in Manhattan.

WAG is already looking forward to its appointment to tour the 45th annual Kips Bay Decorator Show House in Manhattan.

This year’s edition of the famed design showcase will open May 2 and continue daily through June 1 at a distinguished Lenox Hill property on East 65th Street.

There are 18 leading interior designers and architects already at work transforming the four-story Neo-Georgian townhouse, built in 1905.

WAG still recalls the stunning creativity we saw on our most recent tour, in 2015. Then, we met many designers with ties to WAG country, including Janice Parker. The Greenwich-based landscape architect, whose work filled a lovely ground-floor terrace, is again set to participate.

As always, the show house will put the spotlight on fine furnishings, art and technology, with rooms created in styles ranging from stately and elegant to incredibly bold.

The event, with its committee chaired by famed interior designer Bunny Williams, will again serve to raise funds for the Kips Bay Boys & Girls Club.

The $40 ticket, which includes a souvenir journal, will be sold at the door, at 125 E. 65th St.
