Another opening…

Held in conjunction with the New Canaan Holiday Stroll, Heather Gaudio Fine Art will hold an opening reception for its latest show Dec. 2.

“Lasting Impressions,” a group show of prints by Modern and contemporary artists Ross Bleckner, Jim Dine, Caio Fonseca, Betty Merken, Donald Sultan and Andy Warhol, will be unveiled from 5 to 7 p.m. that evening.

As the advance materials describe, “For centuries, artists have engaged in printmaking to enhance and expand their creative output, attracted to a medium that can render unexpected results. Collaborating with master printmakers, artists make impressions designed from their inception to be expressed in a specific technique, such as etching, silkscreen or woodcut. Each print has an element of originality, with no two impressions being identical. The process also allows artists to make their work more accessible to collectors.”

The show will continue through Feb. 4 at the gallery, at 66 Elm St.
