Around the world with Kim Seybert

WAG has long featured the sometimes playful, always sophisticated creations of Kim Seybert, the New York-based tabletop and accessories designer.

Now, to coincide with our June issue – themed “Global Celebrations” – we put the spotlight on a few of her designs that are ideal for setting a global-inspired table.

No matter what you’re serving, you can add a hint of travel, an air of the exotic, to your surroundings.

The Ming placemat, for example, is a dramatic option in indigo and white. Hand-beaded with a 100-percent cotton backing, the design is offered in a set of four ($548). Another design that caught our eye is the Nomad runner ($560), which also features hand-beading with a 100-percent cotton backing.

Many of Seybert’s products also make the most elegant hostess gifts. Among the choices are the 100-percent linen Tribal cocktail napkins ($54 for a gift-boxed set of six), and, for a one-of-a-kind pick, opt for the Buddha Head napkin ring ($140 for a set of four). Both carved and painted by hand, no two will be exactly alike.
