Friends of Music Concerts, the Sleepy Hollow-based organization, has announced its May lineup:
- The Dover Quartet will make its Friends of Music Concerts debut May 6 with an evening featuring works by Ludwig van Beethoven, Benjamin Britten and Dmitri Shostakovich.
- The group’s 63rd season will then conclude May 20 with Windscape, a group of artists-in-residence at the Manhattan School of Music. “The Roaring Twenties” will include arrangements of works by Louis Armstrong, Igor Stravinsky, Kurt Weill and George Gershwin, as well as works for woodwinds by Paul Hindemith and Heitor Villa-Lobos.
Each concert will held at 8 p.m. in the Kusel Auditorium of Sleepy Hollow High School, 210 N. Broadway. Doors open at 7:30. Tickets are $30. Parking is free.
