Have it your way at John Hardy

For the first time, the Bali-based jeweler’s clients will be able to customize one of its creations.

It was just a few short weeks ago that we John Hardy fans enjoyed a luncheon and trunk show at Bloomingdale’s White Plains and met new creative director Hollie Bonneville Barden, the subject of an interview in WAG’s December “Wrapping Up the Year With Grace” issue.

Now the Hardy folks have let us know about a first-time jewelry customization program with a special feature beginning this Sunday, Nov. 19:

“Customers (can) choose from 21 different stones to personalize both sides of the clasp of John Hardy’s iconic Reversible Classic Chain bracelet with. The raw stones are patterned for real symbolism and inlaid for their healing, energizing, grounding and enlightening properties, which are then transmitted to the wearer. Hundreds of combinations are available across the gold and silver reversible bracelet, which is loved by celebrities such as Zendaya, Emma Watson, Nina Dobrev, Kate Hudson and Celine Dion.

“In addition to personalizing their own bracelets, customers will have the chance to watch and learn several crafting techniques that are used to create each handmade piece of jewelry by John Hardy’s master artisans, which is something that can typically only be experienced at the brand’s Ubud, Bali workshop. A chain weaver, gem setter and sketch artist will be at the John Hardy New York City flagship from Sunday, Nov. 19 to Friday, Dec. 1.

The flagship is at 118 Prince St. in SoHo. For more, visit johnhardy.com/ny-store.
