Those with a love of the 1920s, from the era’s music to its fashions, will want to save the date of Sept. 16.
That’s when the New Castle Historical Society is holding a fundraiser that it expects to become an annual tradition.
The inaugural Jazz Era Picnic in the Park, set to feature Michael Arenella & His Dreamland Orchestra, will fill the lawn and circle of the Chappaqua Metro-North train station.
The lawn will open at 4 p.m., with music starting at 4:30 and the party continuing until 8. Guests are encouraged to wear their “best” seersucker outfits or other 1920s-inspired fashions, sun hats – and, of course, dancing shoes.
