French Pianist Hélène Grimaud, the 2015 Artist-in-Residence at Caramoor Center for Music and the Arts in Katonah, helps ring down the curtain on the festival season there with a pair of performances.
On Friday, July 31, it’s Grimaud in a recital of “water music” by composers ranging from Albéniz to Takemitsu. Then on Sunday, Aug. 2, Grimaud – founder of the Wolf Conservation Center in South Salem and the cover subject of WAG’s November 2011 issue, “Passionate Pursuits” – will team with conductor Pablo Heras-Casado and the resident Orchestra of St. Luke’s for Brahms’ First Piano Concerto.
