Inspired design, from you know who…

The lobbies of Manhattan skyscrapers can sometimes be pretty boring affairs.

So I was at first surprised by the lovely scenes that greeted me when appointments found me at FortyOneMadison, The New York Merchandise Mart on a recent morning.

Of course, with the New York Tabletop Show under way I should have expected some flair.

And it came, courtesy of the team of none other than Martha Stewart – WAG’s July 2014 cover girl.

Martha Stewart Weddings had set the loveliest table with “So-in-Love Soirée,” a “fresh look for a spring engagement party.” Paper Artistry by The Green Vase/Livia Cetti anchored the scene, which also featured Kim Seybert for DeVine chargers and glassware. (My day would later take me to the Seybert showroom for a sneak peek at the fall and holiday collections. Stay tuned to WAG for more on those beauties).

And right near the entrance was “A Fine Finish,” again by Martha Stewart Weddings.

This scene “sets a modern spread for an after-party with late-night sweets and spirits,” this time featuring Paper Artistry by Confetti System. Loved the glamour created by the Luisa Beccaria dress surrounded by so many festive touches.

Great start to a day in the city.
