Jewelry’s newest ingredients

In advance of our July issue, which will be filled with stories about food and entertaining, we’d like to take a moment to share some news about a recently launched collection that calls itself “the world’s first – and only – line of jewelry for epicureans.”

We admit, when we first heard about it we were a bit skeptical. But a look at the unique designs of Delicacies has us intrigued.

The company, led by chef and food personality Andrew Zimmern, here the chief culinary officer, and chief designer Nicolle Nelson, is said to be designed by people who love food for people who love food.

Each bracelet in the minimalist jewelry collection is devoted to a single ingredient cast in sterling silver and paired with Italian leather. It’s up to you whether you select a single ingredient – the 20-plus options range from pineapple to lobster, grapes to parsley – or stack them to create your own “recipe.”

At Delicacies, the recipe includes giving back. In addition to offering detailed meanings and lore tied to each ingredient, the company also designates a portion of each sale to fight hunger. The bracelets start at $75.
