Breast cancer awareness events headline a busy October.

Breast cancer awareness events headline a busy October.

The Castle Hotel & Spa in Tarrytown invites you to attend “A Positively Pink Evening at Sankara Spa” on Thursday, Oct.17from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Half of the $50 ticket fee will be donated to Support Connection to help provide free services to people coping with breast cancer. Guests will be greeted with a welcome glass of sparkling Rosé. They’ll enjoy light hors d’oeuvres (compliments of The Rare Bit in Dobbs Ferry and Chef Pearl Cooking Studio), White Claw Hard Seltzers and ITO EN iced teas. Sankara Spa’s massage therapists will be on hand for quick-fix back rubs and hand massages. For more information or to RSVP, visit https://castlehotelandspa.com/events/breast-cancer-awareness-event/.

One of the biggest events marking the month is the Breast Cancer Alliance annual Luncheon & Fashion Show at the Hyatt Regency Greenwich , 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday, Oct. 21. Chef Todd English is the guest speaker for an event that draws 1,000 women (and a few good men) for cocktails, live and silent auctions, a fashion show and the moving Models of Inspiration, featuring women who are living with or have overcome breast cancer in ensembles curated by Richards.

To purchase tickets or tables online or to make a donation, visit https://e.givesmart.com/events/d2u/. And for moreabout luncheon tickets or to reserve raffle tickets and parking updates, email info@breastcanceralliance.org or call 203-861-0014.

Finally, among the activities that can be hard for breast cancer patients or survivors to do is raise their arms to wash windows. FISH Window Cleaning would like to help. It is giving away a free exterior window cleaning to one breast cancer fighter or survivor. Enter the contest by telling your story on the company’s website through the end of the month. The winner will be announced in early November.  For more, visit fishwindowcleaning.com or call 877-707-FISH.
