Rooney Mara returns to her Bedford roots

Save Saturday, Aug. 18 for an evening with actress Rooney Mara as she takes part in a special screening of her 2015 film “Carol” at Bedford Playhouse in her hometown.

On Saturday, Aug. 18 actress and Bedford native Rooney Mara will be on hand for a special screening of her 2015 film “Carol” at Bedford Playhouse. The screening of the film, in which Mara stars alongside Oscar winner Cate Blanchett and Sarah Paulson, begins at 7 p.m. and is followed by a Q&A and discussion moderated by feature writer, author and part-time Pound Ridge resident Patricia Morrisroe.

Can’t make it this weekend? Bedford Playhouse will show Ethan Hawke and Amanda Seyfried’s “First Reformed” the following weekend on Saturday, Aug. 25th. Again, the screening begins at 7 p.m. and is followed this time by a Q&A with the film’s director, Paul Schrader, moderated by the Playhouse’s director, John Farr.
