Sylvie Shine: Senior Snoop Sleuth

WAG alum Barbara Nachman would like to introduce you to Sylvie Shine.

Sylvie is the amateur detective in the new murder mystery, “Sylvie Shine: Senior Snoop Sleuth.”

With her hearing aid — “eavesdropping apparatus” — and her floral cane, Sylvie is the self-proclaimed snoop at the Harrisdale Senior Apartments in a fictitious northern suburb of New York City. When her neighbor and friend goes missing, Sylvie transforms snooping into sleuthing and becomes a modern-day Miss Marple.

The professional detectives on the case think she’s just an old busybody. But then, they don’t know about her secret weapon.

Sylvie Shine’s got “octogenarian intuition.”

Barbara will be speaking about her new book at Atria Briarcliff Manor on Sept. 23;  Atria Rye Brook on Nov. 1; the Port Chester Library on Nov. 4; and Atria Stamford on Nov. 8. She is now booking dates in October and November.

For more information, email her at SylvieShine@aol.com.
