As you may know, Croatia was hit with a magnitude 6.4 earthquake on Tuesday, Dec. 29, followed by a severe aftershock Wednesday, Dec. 30. Many families have lost their homes, and it seems as though the area of Petrinja will suffer a slow recovery. The effect of this natural disaster reaches even our local area, as the owners of Dubrovnik Restaurant in New Rochelle are from Croatia and have family living there.
Over the years, Dubrovnik’s main goal has been to make customers love Croatia as much as they do and bring the best of Croatia to New Rochelle. Dubrovnik has always been a strong supporter of the community, making donations to local hospitals and senior centers, so now the restaurant is calling upon the community to help Croatia.
Over the next few days, Dubrovnik will be collecting money to help give back to the communities in its home country. The restaurant welcomes anyone and everyone to stop by and make a suggested donation of $20, or any affordable amount, for families in need.
