Sure, it’s still August but, as we all know, once Labor Day arrives, our weekends suddenly fill up with events.
That’s why we’re suggesting you make a plan now to “save the date” of Sept. 16 for the 11thannual Old-fashioned Flea Market, to be held on the grounds of the Lockwood-Mathews Mansion Museum in Norwalk.
The popular event will again feature a variety of vendors offering everything from antiques to repurposed furniture, collectibles to jewelry, crafts to household items and clothing, toys and more. In addition, there will be a number of food trucks on hand for specialty dining, while the Connecticut Seaport Car Club will offer a classic and antique car show on -ite.
In addition, the museum will be open for $5 “mini tours,” from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
All proceeds benefit the Lockwood-Mathews Mansion Museum, which has donated several booths to area nonprofits that will share their message and mission.
The day will run from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. in Mathews Park, at 295 West Ave.
