Whiskey a go-go (and more)

A Women Who Whiskey event Friday night at Bloomingdale’s White Plains is among many in its fall lineup.

If there is one trend we’re noticing this fall, it’s women and whiskey. We met a representative of the Bourbon Women Association at Bloomingdale’s White Plains last Saturday after the Fashion Influencers Fashion Show.

This Friday, from 6 to 8 p.m., the retailer hosts Women Who Whiskey for a tasting, shopping and networking event with food pairings. It’s another big weekend for the store, with a Leased Block Party (1 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 21), featuring music, a sweepstakes, giveaways, beauty tips, refreshments, sweet treats and some of your favorite brands like like Kooples, Max Mara, Gerard Darel, Maximilian Fur, Ted Baker, Sandro, Maje, Whistles, Bailey 44 and more.

Then on Sunday, Sept. 22 at 1p.m. it’s story time with authors Nick Bruel of the “Bad Kitty” series, and Alyssa Capucilli of the “Biscuit” books.  Plus, enjoy kid-friendly activities like face-painting, make-your-own bookmark, a photo shoot with the characters and more.

Fall at Bloomie’s continues with pink yoga classes in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month on October Saturdays before the store opens, a Kobi Halperin appearance Oct. 3, a Max Mara Ladies Lunch Oct. 5, trunk shows featuring jewelry by David Yurman (Oct. 11) and Marco Bicego (Oct. 13) and, of course, the can’t-wait-for-it Nov. 17 Makeup Date.
