A musical tradition continues

Songs for Seeds of Scarsdale will offer a free children’s concert July 29 in Chase Park.

We’ve been following the growth of Songs for Seeds for some time now , so we were happy to hear its latest news.

Songs for Seeds of Scarsdale, the award-winning young children’s music program and band, is celebrating the start of its third year by offering a free concert at 11 a.m. July 29 in Chase Park.

The organization offers classes for those ages 6 and younger throughout the year at the Scarsdale Synagogue. The 45-minute classes are led by a three-piece band of teacher/musicians who encourage the young students to sing, play instruments and dance.

In addition to its Scarsdale offerings, Songs for Seeds also operates out of the Rye Brook Shopping Center, and we hear further expansion may soon be announced. The band is also available for birthday parties.
