WAG’s fashionistas will want to note that a new shopping center is set to open this autumn in neighboring Rockland County – and retail favorites ranging from Michael Kors to Coach, Vera Bradley to lululemon athletica will be among the mix luring shoppers across the Hudson River.
A press conference and (not-so-stylish) hard-hat tour was held May 7, an event that served as the official announcement of some 30 of the eventual 50 retailers that will fill the approximately 750,000-square-foot outdoor mall.
The site of the former Nanuet Mall is being dramatically revamped for a confirmed-on-schedule Oct. 10 opening.
Current anchors Macy’s and Sears, which remain open during construction, will be joined by Regal Cinemas, 24 Hour Fitness and Fairway Market as the largest tenants.
Shoppers will also find Banana Republic, Chico’s, Brighton Collectibles, Victoria’s Secret, White House/Black Market, Jos. A. Bank, Lovesac Alternative Furniture Co. and Lush Fresh Handmade Cosmetics, among others. Dining options will include Banchetto Feast, a freestanding restaurant (already open), P.F. Chang’s, Bonefish Grill, Lime Fresh Mexican Grill and Zinburger.
“We feel very strongly that this will be a very successful center,” said Thomas J. Schneider, executive vice president of development for Simon Property Group, Inc., the mall’s owner.
And we can’t wait to check it out.
