Are you ready for some summer? After this winter, who isn’t?
The New York Botanical Garden in the Bronx is feeling your pain and has just the cure – the 11th annual “Orchid Show,” which opens March 2. As we’ve come to expect, orchids will festoon the Enid A. Haupt Conservatory in various arrangements, and the exhibit will come with the Garden’s usual full complement of programming. And as always, there will be souvenirs to die for. This year, trees felled by Hurricane Sandy are being incorporated into the design by Francisca Coelho, the Vivian and Edward Merrin vice president for Glasshouses and Exhibitions.
It’s the next best thing to wintering in Florida. For more, visit nybg.org.
