Jewelry fans love their ‘LOOT’

Fans of cutting-edge jewelry are likely to be quite familiar with “LOOT: MAD About Jewelry.”

The annual event, now in its 17th edition at the Museum of Arts and Design in Manhattan, is both a sale and exhibition of daring design, often featuring unique materials in celebration of, what press materials describe as, “the evolving possibilities of jewelry as an art form.”

Featuring an array of international designers, this year’s “LOOT” will run from April 4 through 8.

“This annual five-day pop-up store is a one-of-a-kind event,” says Marsy Mittlemann, the 2017 LOOT chairman. “I am thrilled to introduce these 54 contemporary jewelry artists to the New York City community. The opportunity to buy these unique pieces of jewelry and to meet the artists while supporting the museum and its mission is very meaningful to me.”

Anyone who’s attended in the past knows just what an opportunity it is indeed.
