Anytime I wear Amy Kahn Russell jewelry, I get compliments.
I bought my first piece in the Museum Shop at Lyndhurst in Tarrytown a couple of years ago, delighted when the associate told me that the stunning earrings were the work of a local designer.
That unsolicited comment led me to Russell’s Ridgefield studio to get the full story, shared in a profile I wrote for our December 2017 issue, and we’ve been following the AKR story ever since, including an update that ran just last month.
I’ve expanded my AKR collection with a few visits to the designer’s popular sample sales. Imagine a beautiful room arrayed with hundreds of earrings and necklaces, bracelets and pins, and you can imagine how hard it is to pick just a few pieces, especially since the prices are so attractive.
Though it seems like a long time from now, we’ve just heard that the next AKR sample sale will be held Dec. 2-5, which will be here before we know it.
The sale will again be held, as per tradition, at the Keller Tavern Garden House in Ridgefield.
We’ll remind you again when it gets closer, but for now, let those shopping daydreams begin.
