Something old… something valuable?

The Lockwood-Mathews Mansion Museum in Norwalk is again hosting its Antiques Appraisal Weekend and Vintage & Designer Jewelry Sale.

This year’s event will be held at the suitably elegant – and historic – venue from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Oct. 20 and 21.

Verbal appraisals will be conducted by a number of local experts. The cost is $15 for small/medium items and $40 for larger antiques, such as furniture. There is a maximum of three appraisals per person. Full details on the appraisers and their schedules during the event can be found at lockwoodmathewsmansion.com.

The jewelry sale will feature selections from A Silver Lining in Darien, Jani Caroli of Paris Couture Jewelry in Norwalk and jewelry designer Denise Cox.

The mansion museum is at 295 West Ave. Tours of the museum are available from noon to 4 p.m. Wednesdays through Sundays. Call (203) 838-9799 or email info@lockwoodmathewsmansion.com.
