David Villa – the Spanish-born soccer star, who spends some family downtime in Greenwich – is the cover subject of WAG’s August “Exploring the Sporting Life” issue, and we couldn’t be happier.
It was a race to the finish line – to mix our sports metaphors – to make this happen, but, in the end, it was all worth it.
A shout-out to Villa and the New York City Football Club for all their good, fast footwork. The reigning Major League Soccer MVP turns out to be quite a guy – as humble as he is talented. But we’ll let you explore that in the pages of WAG.
What we want to draw your attention to here is the Hudson River Derby at 6 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 6 when NYCFC takes on its archrivals, the Red Bulls, at Yankee Stadium.
