Vermouth: Beyond the martini

It seems that no matter where you go, classic cocktails are back on the menu.

Sure, there are always going to be those super-fruity concoctions in a rainbow of colors, but old-school drinks seem to be making a comeback.

The classic martini, of course, never went away – and its key ingredient, vermouth – seems to have always been popular.

Now, Vermouth Royal is showing consumers there is more to the fortified wine that many knew.

Here’s what the company tells us:

“Born in the heart of the vineyards of Charente, France, La Quintinye Vermouth Royal is an opulent French vermouth crafted from white wines of southwest France, Pineau des Charentes – a fortified wine made by mixing fresh grape juice and Cognac from a single estate – and a composition of carefully curated botanicals. Vermouth Royal has three vermouths in their line – Rouge, Blanc and Extra-Dry, which all share the same 12 base botanicals including artemisia (i.e. wormwood), vine flowers, angelica, iris roots, cardamom, cinnamon, cinchona (or quinine bark), citrus aurentium (or bitter orange), ginger, licorice, nutmeg and quassia amara. The impeccable quality and magnificent taste of Vermouth Royal will make anyone feel like royalty.”

Vermouth Royal has two sizes, 750 ml and 375 ml, priced at $21.99 and $14.99 respectively.

Cheers!
