Making up is easy to do at Bloomie’s

We cha-cha-ed. We spritzed. We bought way too many cosmetics. And we had a ball at “The Makeup Date” at Bloomingdale’s White Plains Nov. 17.

There aren’t many calls for the cha-cha-chá these days – unless, of course, you’re on “Dancing With the Stars.” But we cha-cha-ed to our hearts’ content Nov. 17 at Bloomingdale’s White Plains as DJ Theo of Theo Philip Entertainment spun the hits for the store’s annual “The Makeup Date.” The dancing and buffet breakfast were all a warm-up for the main event, which found fashionisto Carson Kressley and comedian Regina DeCicco – who have previously hosted singly – teaming to introduce new and best-selling products from various makeup lines and – let’s face it, the most important thing – raffle off free stuff. We hate to date ourselves but it’s like “Oprah” meets “Let’s Make a Deal.”

The pair entered dancing with Carson, wearing one of the store’s holiday teddy bear sweaters, observing, “I don’t have to do cardio for a few weeks….Nothing like a chunky holiday sweater to show off the abs.”

The pair was in rare form, from jokes about double fisting Champagne and French toast in a glass to pointed comments on the skincare and makeup offerings, for which the brands’ representatives played straight men and women.

“This is delicious,” Carson said of Clarins’ Plant Gold oil emulsion. “You could just put it on a cracker.”

The refreshments, music, prizes, makeovers and blowouts, courtesy of Drybar White Plains, went on all day long, prompting Carson to announce:  “I’m moving in. What’s the zip code here so I can just forward my mail?”
