Sisley does the tresses good

WAG’s Kelsie Mania and Danielle Renda experiment with two of the French beauty company’s newest hair care products.

It’s always a treat when WAG learns of new products. Especially, when it’s a lush hair treatment from luxe cosmetics company Sisley Paris, whose American headquarters is in White Plains.

Sisley’s Regenerating Hair Care Mask with Four Botanical Oils (200ml for $95) and Precious Hair Care Oil Glossiness and Nutrition (100ml for $100) are designed to replenish the hair, refresh the scalp and re-hydrate lackluster locks.

Kelsie Mania, WAG’s art director, tried the Regenerating Hair Care Mask, which is equipped with four botanical oils – shea, macadamia, camellia and hazelnut. The product is highly concentrated in plant-based extracts, proteins, vitamins and minerals that work to rebuild and bolster damaged hair, starting at the root. Mania massaged the product into her freshly washed hair – distributing the mask from her scalp to the ends of her hair and, after leaving it on for 10 minutes, rinsing it away. The result, she says, was more than satisfying.

“I’ve tried a few hair masks and this one felt lighter,” Mania says. “It didn’t really leave any residue once it was washed out, and, actually, it made the ends of my hair feel a lot better when I blew-dry my hair.”

The mask was designed for regeneration, but the Precious Hair Care Oil Glossiness and Nutrition – which I tried – was designed for beautifying. As a self-confessed diva, beautifying treatments are right up my alley, and I was looking forward to trying this rich product. Similar to the mask, the product also contains a blend of four oils – passion fruit, shea, cotton and moringa – which combine to produce a radiant, lightweight, smooth finish. The product can be applied to damp hair (which I opted for) or dry hair, with a small amount massaged into the mid-lengths and ends of the hair.

For someone who’s a frequent user of high-temperature hair tools, this treatment added life back into my tired tresses. The finish was smooth – smoother than it had felt in awhile – and, most important, healthy.

I’m sure this won’t be the last time WAG uses Sisley hair care products – particularly with the softer seasons coming up.
