For a glimpse of the hottest fashions and trends for fall, head to The Westchester.
That’s when Greenwich Hospital will be serving as the local host of “Simon Fashion Now,” a series of fashion shows and interactive entertainment designed and presented by the mall’s owner, Simon Property Group Inc.
The event gets under way at 6 p.m. Oct. 5 with “Trends & Friends Night,” which is billed as “an evening of fashion, charity and bites.” Shoppers can participate in fundraising events that benefit The Junior League of Central Westchester. Highlights will include runway fashion shows at 6:30 and 7:30 p.m. The evening runs to 9 p.m.
The festivities continue Oct. 6 with “Design Wars,” a noontime runway reality competition with students from Westchester Community College and Westchester Fashion Academy for Children. Visitors can view looks from The Westchester’s most celebrated retailers during runway fashion shows (hourly from 1 to 4 p.m.); enjoy interactive stage events, in-store promotions and specials at participating retailers; and win prizes.
Throughout the weekend, more than 30 retailers will be participating including American Apparel, Anthropologie, Arche, Banana Republic, Brooks Brothers, Juicy Couture, Lucky Brand, Nine West, Rebecca Taylor, Sperry Top-Sider, Sunglass Hut, Timberland, Victoria’s Secret and Wolford Boutique.
The Westchester is at 125 Westchester Ave. in White Plains. All activities are free.
