It was one of Neiman Marcus Westchester’s best fashion shows ever. Chuck Steelman, special events manager for The Neiman Marcus Group Services, flew in from Dallas for a Trend Report Thursday on spring’s must-have looks, according to Neiman’s fashion director Ken Downing. They include nifty shades of pink all mixed together, florals (also mixed), stripes (ditto), pops of yellow and chartreuse, cropped pants and moto jackets, bell-shaped sleeves, mirrored or colored sunglasses, slip-ons, clutches, including those with “graffiti,” silver chains and great tassel earrings. (We’ll take one of each, Chuck.)
Maison Beauty Lounge in White Plains provided the models’ sleek hairstyles, while Christopher Yee, sales and education executive for the Northeast at Tom Ford Beauty, provided the models’ smoky eyes, dewy skin and defiant lips – all with a hint of vanilla. (Think Ford’s new fragrance, Vanille Fatale.)
The show benefited St. Vincent’s Hospital Westchester in Harrison, one of the largest behavioral hospitals in the tristate area – and growing. Director of development Meg Sutton said St. Vincent’s is taking over the Behavioral Health Clinic at White Plains Hospital and working with traumatic brain injury patients at Burke Rehabilition Hospital in White Plains.
Neiman Marcus will make a donation to St. Vincent’s based on shopping through Sunday, Feb. 11.
