The “Modern Picnic” will be the event’s centerpiece, offering participants the chance to sample dishes prepared by six award-winning chefs and 10 talented artisans.
A quick sampling to whet your appetite:
° Chef Jeremy McMillan of The Farmhouse Restaurant at The Bedford Post Inn in Bedford will prepare biscuits with whipped lardo and honey; grilled flatbread, bone marrow and gremolata; and ambrosia, poached, grilled and fresh fruit with coconut mascarpone.
° Chef Tony Maw of Craigie on Main in Cambridge, Mass. will serve up farro pasta with duck heart ragout; goat meatballs; and smoked bluefish rillettes with caviar and toast.
In addition, those attending are invited to explore the 49-acre property’s buildings, grounds and art collections. Tickets, at $250 per person, are available for purchase online (throughphilipjohnsonglasshouse.org) or by calling (866) 811-4111.
** Please note that the Food Film Festival that gets under way later that evening is already sold out.
