The Glass House in New Canaan has revealed its 10th anniversary Glass House Edition, “Lilac Mist” by James Welling.
The Glass House Editions Program is a curated selection of exclusive artworks donated by leading contemporary artists inspired by the art and architecture of the Philip Johnson Glass House. All proceeds from these limited editions support preservation initiatives, exhibitions and programs at The Glass House, a site of the National Trust for Historic Preservation.
The new work by Welling is an Epson 9900 print on Museo Silver Rag paper (Image size: 15.5 x 23.25 inches, Sheet size: 18.5 x 24 inches). Further details note that it’s “Edition 20, 5 AP’s. Signed, titled, and dated by the artist with an Eagle Prismacolor Ultramarine, 902 pencil.” The introductory price is $3,500.
And visitors will want to note “Lynn Davis: On Ice,” a selection of photographs from the Hudson, New York-based artist’s longstanding work depicting icebergs in Greenland, continues through Nov. 30.
