You may think you know all there is to know about Barnes & Noble.
Sure, you know about its vast selection of best sellers and offbeat gift items. You know it’s a great place to grab coffee, a Danish or even a quick bite for lunch.
But when you think of where to take your family for a delicious dinner out, or where to meet up after work for a glass of wine, you probably wouldn’t think of Barnes & Noble.
Well, that’s changed.
The company rolled it out its first concept store in November at 680 White Plains Road in Eastchester, featuring a full-service restaurant offering everything from breakfast items like lemon-ricotta pancakes or a burrito to a sandwich or salad for lunch.
On a recent trip, WAG sampled creamy guacamole served with warm tortilla chips. A plate of hummus, za’atar and market vegetables was a delight for both the eyes and taste buds, while crispy toasts paired perfectly with sun dried tomatoes and mozzarella cheese.
For those looking for something a bit heartier, the eatery also offers a juicy Brisket burger served with crispy cubed potatoes or a traditional spaghetti and meatballs. A plancha-cooked salmon is served with whole-grain tabbouleh salad and basil dressing.
Diners can also choose to enjoy their meals with a range of craft beer or wine served by the glass or bottle.
Whether searching for a quiet spot to grab dinner with the latest page-turner, or hoping to find a new place to host your monthly book club, Barnes & Noble in Eastchester is not to be overlooked.
